What We Do

  • Redistributing Bikes

We repair used bikes and redistribute them to people who use them for basic transportation, mostly at no cost. We work with partners like Direct Action for Rights and Equality, Clínica Esperanza, and Project Weber/Renew to get bikes back into the world!

  • Teaching & Learning

We regularly run our six-week mechanical fundamentals course and welcome those with any level of experience to come to Volunteer Nights to wrench on and learn about bikes. We also frequently host workshops outside the scope of bicycles in our space. We believe everyone contributes to the learning environment: we all have something to teach and something to learn!

  • Open Repair

We hold regular events where anyone is welcome to get support in fixing their own bike. These include Open Sho hours at our space at 50 Sims Ave and with our mobile shop trailer around the city, like Kennedy Plaza or at Providence Bike Jam. We’ll have skilled mechanics on hand to help you fix common problems.
